Fraser Heights is the northernmost section of Surrey and is located in the actual centre of the Greater Vancouver area of British Columbia. – Fraser Heights as a gateway to Vancouver, Fraser Heights is flanked by Highway 1, Highway 17, and Highway 15, making it an ideal location for commuting both east and west, entering the interior of British Columbia via Langley and Abbotsford, and travelling to Vancouver Island via Tsawwassen Ferry from the south.

Residents of Fraser Heights live in a well-designed residential area linked to 12 parks and is surrounded by lovely landscapes and spacious streets. To the north of Fraser Heights is a beautiful river valley and incredible mountain views. An area roughly 20 square kilometers in size, with an average population of 20,000 people, has over 5,000 households and approximately 20,000 people scattered out across it.

Fraser Heights has a local shopping centre in the area, despite being surrounded by major retailers and department stores like Walmart, Sears, Superstore, the Bays, and several shops in Guildford Mall. Shopping malls in the area are home to a variety of establishments such as the local Starbucks, the Nesters Market chain of markets, various eateries, gas stations, TD and Scotiabank branches, and pharmacies. Both the extensive library and leisure centre in Guildford and Fraser Heights’ public secondary school (Fraser Heights Secondary) are within walking distance for residents of Fraser Heights, which is located in the heart of the neighbourhood.

Until the 1980s, Fraser Heights was an isolated community with extensive stretches of land that were largely undeveloped. From the 1980s to the 2000s, Fraser Heights was subdivided by different developers at different times because of Surrey’s development goal and the increase in population. There are currently 25 distinct neighbourhoods in Fraser Heights, depending on their locations and historical names.
